Justin Levy
Justin Levy is a producer working primarily in documentary film. He produced SNOWY, a short documentary that premiered at Sundance 2021. He produced the feature documentary WELL GROOMED, which premiered at SXSW and was released by HBO in 2019. He is the associate producer of 2018 Academy Award best short documentary nominee KNIFE SKILLS, directed by Academy Award-winner Thomas Lennon.
He also collaborated with Lennon as associate producer and impact producer on SACRED, a feature documentary produced by WNET. SACRED was filmed in 40 countries and broadcast on PBS following international festival screenings on 6 continents (IDFA, Tokyo International) and limited theatrical release.
He is the co-producer of SUPERGIRL, broadcast on PBS Independent Lens, following screenings at film festivals worldwide including the Hamptons International Film Fest, DOC NYC and Slamdance. He worked with Academy Award-winning director Marshall Curry as coordinator on 2014 Tribeca Grand Jury Prize winner POINT AND SHOOT.
He directed and produced two short documentaries exploring the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in NYC that were released by The New Yorker in 2020. He is a PGA-accredited producer and a NY Regional Representative of the Documentary Producers Alliance (DPA). Prior to working in film, he worked as a public radio producer at NPR-affiliate stations for 6 years.
